Swati completed numerous professional development training programs in executive leadership, cloud computing, deep learning, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, ITIL methodology, and six sigma.

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 2009 - Current
Swati has been a recognized and seasoned leader at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). As a Data and Analytics Platform Engineering Director at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)/ Office of Digital Transformation (ODT)/ Office of Data, Analytics and Research (ODAR), Swati envisioned and is leading implementation of FDA’s innovative and transformative Data Lifecycle Ecosystem that is aimed at fulfilling FDA’s data sharing and advanced data science analytics platform needs. This ecosystem is FDA’s first modern, integrated, flexible data analytics ecosystem in FDA’s multi cloud environment.
Prior to her current role, Swati served as a Data Management and Operations Branch Chief within Division of Application Services where she led numerous enterprise initiatives in Database Management, IT Service Management, Document Management and Contact Management fields. Serving as a branch chief, Swati supervised four (4) teams with over 100 team members. Swati was responsible for the planning and execution of $35 million investment of FDA annually. In this role, Swati carved out 10% of the branch budget for future priority projects through solid contract negotiations, strong market research and strategic alignment of human resources. She strategically maximized the potential of human resources by providing challenging opportunities, clear career paths, trainings, and increasing the employee morale. On numerous occasions at the FDA, she successfully consolidated several silo IT solutions/ applications into the integrated solutions. These consolidations led to massive, coordinated modernization upgrades of antiquated technologies and opened the doors for implementing new, modern technologies and enhancing business processes. She transformed the agency’s ‘Technology’ focused IT management to ‘Process’ focused IT Service Management (ITSM) through the implementation of ITIL complaint ServiceNow ITSM suite. It led the agency to standardized processes across agency, measurable IT operations.
Swati also played a vital role in the development, implementation, and advancement of strategic plans, objectives within Office of Information Management and Technology. She provided critical oversight to many IT and business systems required to meet Congressional mandates. She also served in leadership position at Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER).
Swati has received multiple Creativity, Innovation and Excellence awards in FDA. Her ‘Accelerate Machine Learning on Enterprise Platforms’ session in AWS Summit DC 2022 was highly acclaimed by numerous government and industry IT leaders.

Her notable contribution to non-profit organizations includes the successful replacement of fragmented, outdated financial reporting systems with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and the development of web-enabled e-business CRM and service desk applications.

While serving at a software development company, Swati led a 20-member technical team and developed web-enabled e-business CRM and service desk applications resulting in increased sales and the establishment of new $5 million accounts.

Swati is a proud mother of a highly ambitious and intelligent 17-year-old girl. She is proficient in four languages: English, Marathi, Hindi, and Gujarati.
She enjoys evening walks, cooking, and writing nonfiction in her free time.
